MONIKA BORZYM “WITH WASOWSKI TO BED”

“From Wasowski to Bed” is Monika Borzym's latest musical project with songs by her beloved Polish composer — Jerzy Wasowski.

The artist's close relationship with Wasowski's work has been going on for many years — Monika has been singing his songs since high school. One of the most beautiful moments of her artistic life was the recording in a duet with Jerzy Wasowski of the song “Fortuna koą się toczy” arranged by Krzysztof Herdzin on the album “Wasowski found. Someone woke me up.”

The album “From Wasowski to the Bed”, which the artist will present during the concert, was created in cooperation with the Wasowski Foundation and the e-music label. Together with pianist Krzysztof Dys and Grzegorz Wasowski, the artist managed to find several completely unknown works in the composer's manuscripts. The new lyrics were written by the composer's son — Grzegorz Wasowski — and Artur Andrus.

Monika Borzym arranged all the songs into a coherent, conceptual story of a musical-therapeutic nature, referring to her second profession — psychologist and sexologist. This resulted in a colourful story about love, romance and human intimacy, arranged for voice and jazz trio consisting of Krzysztof Dys on piano, Maciej Szczyciński on double bass and Marcin Ułanowski on drums.
