daughter This mother
I am the flesh of her body. Created in her likeness. Is My Body Really Mine? The daughter is an extension of the mother. Where does the mother end, where does the daughter begin? A play about the complicated relationship between mother and daughter and the search for a daughter's relationship with herself.
The idea for the show was born from a fascination with the character of Aglaja Veterynya and her work, as well as personal observations, a desire to deconstruct and analyze the mother-daughter relationship in a deeper way, as well as artistic explorations around the theme of the corporeality.
Director, scenography: Paweł Sroka

Who or not what
“Who or not what” invites you to a world where nothing is obvious. The clues lead nowhere, the answers raise further questions, and each scene reveals only fragments of the whole puzzle. Together with the heroes, the audience becomes a participant in the investigation. He analyzes clues, questions his own assumptions and tries to create a course of events. This is a criminal riddle of ambiguity and conjecture. The line between truth and appearances is blurring all the time. In the end, only one question remains: who... and maybe not even what?

Emilia Burtan is a stage design student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław (2nd year). He takes his first steps in the world of theater and film. He believes that the best thing he can do, at this stage of his artistic development, is to gather experience and acquire knowledge. He creates in a versatile way, from painting, through performance, to sculpture. He feels the most inspiration when visiting medieval monuments.

I perform at the Rampa Theatre in Warsaw. She loves theater, her big family, and friends.
Life in transit. So if I can do it, you can do it too.
The performance is the result of my work on the director's examination under the supervision of Michał Walczak, which I conducted from the classes “Rapid City Theater” at the A. Zelwerowicz Theater Academy in Warsaw. I wrote the script myself, inspired by the daily struggles of combining independent motherhood with artistic work and full-time study at a university that is located in another city.
Despite the seemingly difficult subject matter, it is a hilarious monodrama, in a form close to stand-up, that aims to bring hope to all people, perhaps burdened with responsibilities, but who end up doing what they love and spending time with those they love. This event in the form is very simple, one actress, uses few props, we change the light minimally, a few simple inscriptions appear from the projector, we use a video recording made at home, in a private situation using a mobile phone. All the magic happens thanks to the meeting of Clementine with the audience and the story, which allows the common imagination to act. While working with actress Clementina Lamort de Gail, we adapted the script together. It's a frequent practice for me and an important part of rehearsals, as a director and actor inspire each other. Video created for us by Ignacy Ciunelis

The National Festival of the Theater of One Actor MonoFest is one of the most important events that the Sewing House has been creating for years.
It is an event that has its own brand and rich history, presenting to the Łódź audience artistically diverse performances of the theater of one actor selected in the selection process.
MonoFest has the form of a review, promoting and investigating the phenomenon of monodrama, which is also a space for conversations in a warm and friendly atmosphere, during which we also learn to talk about theater without running away from any issues.
