'More' is the first -- and best-known -- of Iranian-Swiss actor, producer and cult director Barbet Schroeder's early films. In 1969, Pink Floyd reached number 9 on the UK Albums Chart with the accompanying soundtrack. The film's protagonist Stefan hitchhikes through Europe and becomes attached in Paris to a group of flower children. Here he is portrayed by an enigmatic, poet-smoking American hippie girl (played by horror star Mimsy Farmer). Despite warnings, Stefan sets after her 'cut-out' as she heads to the sunshine island of Ibiza. Soon he is part of a game of fate involving both heroin, robbery and Nazism. “Where were you?” — “On a trip.” — “Where to?” — “You wouldn't want to know!” sounds one of the exchanges of words between the two young people, both of whom must recognize that there is a short road between self-realization and destruction.
