Moviestar

What is left of a man when his image disappears?

“Moviestar” is Peter Quilter's intelligent, brilliant comedy about a world where fame gives everything but can also take everything away.

The meeting of two men by the hotel pool becomes an excuse for two realities to collide: a famous celebrity and an ordinary man.

Tyler is a movie star. He has everything - fame, money and a face that the whole world knows. But one unfortunate event causes him to become the most hated man on earth overnight.

Justin is a baker from the Bronx. An ordinary man with ordinary problems. Are these two people able to communicate at all?

This story, full of irony and accurate humor, builds on the stage a funny but also somewhat frightening world, in which the line between privacy and public image has long ceased to exist; where every movement can become a headline and it becomes increasingly difficult to recognize the difference between what is real and what just looks like it.

Because when everything starts to falter, one important question remains: who are you when no one is looking?
