Mosaic neighborhood — ceramic workshops

Mosaics adorn the facades and interiors of many buildings in Szczecin, what if we could decorate the whole house with them? Or at least a small cottage that will become part of a jointly created exhibition! We invite you to a free workshop, during which participants will be able to create their mosaic houses. They will be used to create a neighborhood installation, which we will present as part of the second edition of the Miastoteka festival in November!

The classes will be an opportunity to learn the basics of mosaic technique — we will use the same materials and tools as during the Mosaic Workshop. So we invite both those people who have already had the opportunity to create their mosaic compositions, and all those who just want to catch a mosaic bug. After the end of the exhibition, the created works will pass into the ownership of the participants, as a souvenir of this neighborhood activity.

Due to the materials and tools used during the workshops, we invite adults and young people over 15 years old, younger ones — 10-15 years old — can take part in the workshop together with a tutor (for each person you need to get a separate ticket).

Admission to the class is free, but to take part in the class you need to get a free ticket — at the top of the “sign up” page. Tickets will be available from October 12th.

The event takes place as part of the project “SMS to premises”, which is implemented by the Municipal Cultural Center in Szczecin, the Słowianin Culture Center and the Culture Center “Skolwin Club”.

The project is financed by the Municipality of Szczecin.
