Rynek Główny 27 (Piwnica pod Baranami), Kraków

Piotr Skrzynecki (legendary and undisputed leader, speaker, artistic guru of Piwnica pod Baranami) loved the celebration. Every occasion was a good excuse to meet friends, artists and supporters. The custom of organizing benefits and jubilees of artists and public figures continues to this day. For one of such occasional programs, cellar artist Agata Ślazyk prepared a song to the words of Andrzej Waligórski entitled Jagienka and Nuts. It was supposed to be a one-time performance. However, it happened differently. The song was so liked by the listeners that for several years it was included in the iron repertoire of the Piwnica pod Baranami. The subsequent basement festivities were an opportunity to expand the repertoire of the artist with other items from the satirical and ludic current. These songs were collected by Agata in a concert with the motto “The holiday should last a whole week” borrowed from an interview given by Piotr Skrzynecki.

About the event

In the program we will hear texts by Wiesław Dymny, Jeremi Urzeg, Agnieszka Osiecka, Julian Tuwim, Marian Załucki, Antoni Marianowicz, Andrzej Waligórski and the not always serious bard, fairytale writer, satirist, co-creator of the cabarets “Adios muchachos” and “Goodbye Boy” Boniface Dymarczyk. The lyrics of Agata herself will also sound, because her first album proved that she is fluent in the word. Thanks to the artist, we will also hear the first ever song to the words of Piotr Skrzynecki. Listeners familiar with Agata's repertoire will surely find here positions known from the antennas of radio stations and those with which she kissed after the recitals at the request of the audience. There will also be many premiere performances. Among the satire and laughter, there will also be, as it were, for balance, a few lyrical pearls. Agata presents the history of the creation of many works and funny events associated with them. The whole is conducted by the cellar composer Tomasz Kmiecik, known from the concert “Somewhere on an unnamed street — Piesni piwnica pod Baranami”.

Please arrive on time, after the start of the program there will be no possibility to enter the hall!
