“WALLS. 45 years later” is a mini-oratory event about the limitations of the individual, limitations of all kinds - from political to existential, from social to individual - contained in the very nature of man.
Concert with works by the legend of the Polish poetic scene Jacek Kaczmarski, known to a wide audience of the legendary bard of Solidarność. The concert program is fully composed of songs by Jacek Kaczmarski and compositions by Przemysław Gintrowski — some of the most outstanding creators of the poetic song.
There is an opportunity that 45 years after the first release of the album “Mury” all the music sounds anew. The works touch on timeless content about the human condition, his entanglement in power, the struggle for freedom and the moral dilemmas associated with it. References to painting and great historical events raise questions about the identity and foundation of modern man; about a heritage of which we are perhaps not fully aware.
Performers: Przemysław Lembicz (ProForma Quartet) — guitar and vocals; Witold Łuczyński (Trio Łódzko-Chojnowskie) — guitar, vocals; Artur Kępka — piano, vocals.
Organizers: ProForma Quartet, Artur Kępka Nowohuckie Cultural Centre
