About the event

The world is changing,
Walls fall, borders open
Theatre is changing too
Only dreams remain unchanged...
... the dreams of young people, our dreams
A group of young performers talk about their dreams, and every note sung, every beat danced is a dream come true. So we see on stage a passion and enthusiasm, dancing and singing that the Polish theater did not know. There is love, madness and youth. And all this makes the line between theater and reality become fluid, the action of the performance seems to go far beyond the theatrical foyer, and time becomes exclusively a function of imagination.
“SUBWAY”. Somewhere between fiction and reality... Street performers, singers and dancers put on a spectacle for passengers on underground subway platforms. Its creator and animator is Jan, for whom the metro is home and the underground — a way of life. The performance causes a sensation, and young artists receive an offer to work in a commercial theater. It is a story of dreams and disappointments, of passion and betrayal, of youthful ideals and the power of money, and above all it is a story of romantic love.

(...) This is a great achievement of Polish culture. These brilliantly talented young people appeared in one of the most famous venues of the world theater and forced the American audience to applaud them standing. This is an event of enormous importance.
/Prof. Zbigniew Brzeziński - former adviser to the President of the US/
(...) The musical “Metro” became the first - and so far the only - “cult” theatrical event in Poland. No Polish drama, comedy, opera, operetta, cabaret or revue show reached 950 performances, none of which was watched by almost a million spectators. But the production of “Metra” is not only a story of incredible outright box office success, as well as artistic success. This is primarily an optimistic story of a group of young people. People who have proven that if you have talent and ambition, even in Poland you can be successful, get money and fame. /Antenna/
