Can you hear something soft? How does a sound sound that is smooth as glass sound? And can music be warm, rough, sticky, or tickling?

In Sonokrain, sounds have textures. Some are fluffy and soft, others rough like tree bark. There are those that shine like a broken sun, and those that glide over the skin like a cool drop. Some can be imagined as heavy, thick and sticky, others as light as a feather or soaring high like a soap bubble.

“Sonokraina” is a concert in which music becomes touch, temperature, color and movement. We will check if the sound can scratch, caress, pinch, warm and cool. Can it have a shape? Can it be soft on the inside and rough on the surface? And can two completely different sounds have the same texture?
