Music transcends borders, connects traditions and opens up space for dialogue that does not require words.
The project “Musical Dialogue on the Oder River — Two Concerts, Two Countries. 35 Years of Good Neighbourhood in Gorzów and Berlin” refers to the idea of the Polish-German agreement, realizing it through the joint music-making of artists from both countries. In the year of the 35th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Good Neighbourhood and Friendly Cooperation, the meetings in Gorzów Wielkopolski and Berlin become not only concert events, but also a symbolic expression of the durability of relations built on mutual respect, partnership and cultural exchange.
The concert program showcases the richness of chamber music — from the elegance of classicism, through the intense expression of 20th century music, to the metaphysical depth of a romantic masterpiece. The three compositions represent different musical languages, and at the same time they are united by the unique role of string instruments as carriers of individual voice, dialogue and community. The music of Boccherini, Penderecki and Schubert — created in different eras and different contexts — shows how universal the language of art is.
Music Director Felix Korinth (Konzerthausorchester Berlin).
