Mijn weg

This is an evening prepared by Krystyna Janda on the occasion of her 70th birthday. A story about her early years, the beginnings of her career, her friends, the construction of the Polonia Theater and the Och -Theater. Memories and news in the form of a stage monologue.

Excerpt from Ewa Bąk's review for the Eye of the Viewer

The disarming, charming, seductive monologue is really sensationally written. And how played? Amazingly light, natural, witty. With a flair. Seductively feisty. Memories do not suffocate, tragedies do not overwhelm. Successes have no taste of euphoria. Everything that Krystyna Janda talks about, what it serves, goes somewhere, discovers new meanings, opens endless further sequences. It gives you the opportunity to be inspired by this wealth. To feel them as their own. He says: turn your flaws into strengths, take advantage of every opportunity, do not be afraid to take risks, listen to yourself, people, be with them, may you be good with yourself. And work, work, work. Search, try, check. Face something new, bigger than before, or even crazy. With the help of people close to you, you will do your best. You win others over time by the strength of your determination, the belief that you will succeed. It is as if Janda led the audience in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere to the discovery that they themselves can take life behind bars, that they are able to shape their own destiny, to follow their own path, under the conditions they work out themselves.
