Meet a Real Mermaid (4-8 years)

The performanceHavdis fights to protect her home and her friends from threats such as pollution and overfishing. Through her struggle, the show opens up questions about how we humans use the ocean's resources -- and how we can take responsibility for the world we're a part of. With a poetic stage design and live music, the performance invites the audience to descend below sea level. Here we encounter a diverse underwater world full of life, beauty and vulnerability, and get the opportunity to feel the close connection between the sea and us humans.

“Havdis the Mermaid” serves as a reminder that our actions on land have consequences for marine life and that we have a shared responsibility to protect and preserve the marine environment. By inspiring love and respect for the sea and its inhabitants, the performance calls for action to achieve a sustainable future for marine life, in line with World Goal 14.
