Master!

September 1, 2026
This band is one of the most electrifying examples of the phenomenon when musicians with extraordinary freedom cross the boundaries between jazz, rock, psychedelia and experimental music. Led by saxophonist Kjetil Møster (known to our audience from the project “The End”), the band consists of musicians known from such legendary formations as Motorpsycho, Elephant9, Needlepoint and Spidergawd.
They were originally scheduled to play for us in April 2020 (pandemic), but it was only after almost 7 years that we managed to rip the calendars again and we are extremely happy that they will come to us for “Pardon, To Tu”. We cordially invite everyone on this intense, unpredictable and deeply immersive musical journey with the band Møster! — not only for fans of jazz, psych rock, experimental music, but also for all those who like it when a concert escapes all categories.

&# #x1f538; Master

The Norwegian music scene has been famous for years for artists who push the boundaries between jazz, rock, psychedelia and experimental music with extraordinary freedom. MASTER! is one of the most electrifying examples of this phenomenon. It is a quartet that brings together four powerful musical personalities — artists well known to lovers of Scandinavian jazz as well as heavy, progressive rock.

At the head of the band is Kjetil Møster — saxophonist, composer and one of the most characteristic voices of the contemporary Norwegian improvised scene. Known for his activities at The Core, Zanussi 5, Møster! , collaborations with Datarock, Ultralyd and countless projects at the intersection of jazz, rock and experimental music, Møster is able to combine the intensity of free jazz with the energy of rock riff and trance pulse.

He is accompanied by musicians whose names speak for themselves. Hans Magnus “Snah” Ryan, the legendary guitarist of Motorpsycho, is one of the most recognizable and creative guitarists in Norwegian rock. His distinctive sound, unlimited imagination and extraordinary freedom of improvisation have for decades been one of the pillars of Motorpsycho, a band that has been permanently inscribed in the history of European alternative and progressive rock.

The rhythm section is composed of Nikolai Hængsle — bassist known for Elephant9 and Needlepoint, two important projects in the contemporary Norwegian psychedelic and progressive scene — and Kenneth Kapstad, an outstanding drummer currently associated with Spidergawd and previously also with Motorpsycho. Together they form a rhythmic foundation that can transform in an instant from a precise, pulsating structure into a veritable avalanche of energy.

MØSTER music! is unpredictable, loud, intense and completely uncompromising. Jazz improvisation collides here with the weight of rock, psychedelic guitar passages and almost punk energy. This is a band that is equally capable of building a hypnotic trance, as well as bringing the audience to a full sonic explosion.
