The architecture is constantly changing.
Buildings are given new “coats”, are rebuilt, enlarged or change their functions. Sometimes, unfortunately, they disappear — by war, disasters or simply by human negligence.
So how do we know what houses, streets, entire cities or villages once looked like?
Very often old photographs help us with this. Thanks to them, we can see places from many years ago, and sometimes even rebuild destroyed buildings.
Therefore, architecture and photography have long been good friends.
Architects, come!
We will check how photography helps to remember architecture, we will talk about the city written in the photos, and finally we will create your own architectural collage that you will take with you as a souvenir.
The workshop is conducted by Katarzyna Pucuła - art historian, sociologist and anthropologist. Educator associated with the Warsaw Museum and the National Museum in Warsaw. Her main research interests include the social impact of art past and present and the history of customs.
For whom: families with children from 7 to 12 years
Check out the year-round workshop program.
