On November 11 at 12:00 we invite you to GOKsir Przecław for a joint celebration of the National Independence Day. This year's episode of the series “Freedom Forever!” will be filled with music, dance and Polish tradition performed by the Song and Dance Ensemble “Młody Krąg” from Szczecin and the Nadodranka ensemble.

About the event

Independence can be celebrated in many ways. We want to tell about it through culture — songs, music, dance and traditions that have been part of our shared history for generations.

The GokSiR stage will feature the Song and Dance Ensemble “Młody Krąg”, operating in the Youth Palace — Pomeranian Education Center in Szczecin. It is a multi-generational ensemble formed by children, youth and adults, who are united by an interest in Polish songs, dances and folk culture. Its roots go back to 1969.

The repertoire of the “Young Circle” includes dances, songs and customs of many regions of Poland, including Łowicz, Lublin, Kraków, Rzeszów, Kashubia, Kurpi, Silesia and Sądecczyzna. It is complemented by programs dedicated to traditional rites and patriotic songs.

The team attaches great importance to the faithful portrayal of the character of the presented traditions as faithfully as possible. In cooperation with specialists from different regions, he reproduces choreographies, songs, vocals, band sounds and costumes. The performances are accompanied by live music, and the composition of the band and the instrumentation are selected according to the presented region.

Thanks to this, the encounter with folklore becomes not only a colorful spectacle, but also a story about the diversity of Polish culture and traditions passed down from generation to generation.

This year's concert will be a musical and dance story about the path of Poles to independence. The artists recall the times of the Kościuszko insurrection and the Napoleonic era, the national uprisings, the Polish Legions and the contribution of the inhabitants of the Polish countryside to the recovery and defense of freedom. The historical story will be illustrated by patriotic songs and traditional Polish dances, including polonaise, krakowiak, kujawiak and oberek. There will also be folklore from the Sądecki Mountains, and the concert will end with a joint singing with the audience.

The Nadodzanka ensemble will also join the joint celebration, whose vocal performances will alternate the next parts of the concert.

This year's “Freedom Forever!” will be a story about Poland as seen through its music, dance and traditions passed down from generation to generation. We want to celebrate together — solemnly, but above all close to each other and with joy.

After the end of the artistic part, we invite the participants for a sweet treat and a moment of meeting and conversation.
