How do we understand sound when we consider it through the lens of art, sculpture and performance?
We invite you to the CSW Laboratory for a meeting with Gemma Luz Bosch, which will take place on October 7 at 18:00 as part of the {Live} series.
Gemma Luz Bosch is a sound artist, composer and instrument maker. Originally from Spain, he lives and works in the Netherlands. In his practice, he studies sound as a physical phenomenon — he is particularly interested in the relationship between vibrations and the materiality of space. He creates site-specific installations, performances and original instruments, often working with clay, ceramics, water and air. Her work has been presented at numerous festivals and in institutions such as Rewire, Gaudeamus, Bimhuis, Museum Speelklok and Muziekgebouw aan't IJ. She completed her bachelor's degree at the HKU Utrecht Conservatoire and her master's degree at the ArtScience Interfaculty of the Royal Academy of Art and Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
{Live}
Every week we meet live with artists, artists, artistic people to talk about art: creative processes, works, current experiences. Some people will appear for the first time, others have already been to the Center for Contemporary Art. In this series we want to focus attention on individual artistic attitudes and practices. Next matches: 14/10 — Asa Palenga
21/10 — Marta Kosieradzka
28/10 — Maciej Zdanowicz
