2026 is the 10th anniversary NIGHT OF GUITARS!
The “Night of Guitars” brings together the world's best guitarists for a festival tour (four musicians each), where they perform their latest original compositions and cover versions. For each tour, “Nacht der Gitarren” presents a new band of guitar luminaries to create this very special evening with solo, duet and quartet performances and to highlight the virtuosity and diversity within the acoustic guitar world. The festival is exciting because not only do different cultures meet here, but younger artists also meet more experienced musicians. It is precisely this mix that makes these concerts brilliant. Fans of acoustic guitars always get their money's worth here, each time they get to know new talents or interesting established artists.
Minnie Marks is an exceptional artist: guitarist, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist in one person — an “acoustic tsunami” that you can't ignore. With explosive guitar art, a soulful voice and her innovative foot drum setup, she alone creates a huge wall of sound that breaks borders and gets under your skin.
In 2025, her unparalleled live energy won the title of “Musician of the Year” at the Sunshine Coast Music Awards. Numerous other awards, international tours as well as three studio albums and one live album underline her status as one of the most unstoppable forces on the scene. Their most ambitious album to date has been announced for 2026 — a musical event not to be missed. To see Minnie Marks live means: buckle up, hold on, be amazed.
“BADASS.” — Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson, Jeff Beck)
“One of the most impressive shows of our lives! “— Carl Verheyen (Supertramp)

Niwel Tsumbu is a virtuoso guitarist born in Congo and living in Ireland with a unique style of jazz, classical, rock, folk and rumba. Praised for his “exquisite and almost seamless” global fusion (All About Jazz), he worked with Nigel Kennedy, Sinéad O'Connor, Buena Vista Social Club and Baaba Maal, among others. In 2021, he appeared on the Grammy-winning album They're Calling Me Home by Rhiannon Giddens & Francesco Turrisi and is now a member of Giddens' band.
Tsubu's music thrives on sophisticated rhythm, virtuoso guitar playing and enthralling improvisation. Touring internationally and firmly rooted in the Irish art scene, his compositions combine emotional depth with global openness — a musical flow that brings together cultures, styles and people.
André Cavalcante (Brazil). André Cavalcante began his musical career at the age of six on the piano and
discovered the guitar at the age of ten. He completed a bachelor's degree in classical guitar at the University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) but found his calling in music production. Today, he is one of the most renowned producers in Brazil's religious music segment.
He worked with labels such as Universal Music, Sony and Somlivre as well as with renowned artists such as Gabriela Rocha, Paula Fernandes, Sandy and Zé Neto e Cristiano. His work has received three Grammy nominations and several festival awards.
As a solo artist, André is known for his virtuoso fingerstyle technique. His instrumental album garnered over 8 million YouTube views. His interpretations of “Oceans”, “Hallelujah” and most recently “Agnus Dei” were also very well received internationally.
André is currently working on a new instrumental project with an American cellist and thus remains a formative figure in contemporary music.
