New York City, 1953: Former drug addict Bill Lee (RoboCop's Peter Weller) discovers that his wife Joan (Judy Davis) is stealing an insecticide from him, which he regularly intoxicates. When Bill himself inhales a toxic substance, he begins to hallucinate - it seems to him that he is a secret agent who must complete an important mission. In the end, the hero ends up in the Międzystrefa. In a place reminiscent of North Africa, his psychosis, obsessions and surreal visions deepen — and the typewriter he uses turns into a giant, talking beetle.

Based on fresh ingredients from the surreal, gruesome imaginations of David Cronenberg and William S. Burroughs, we serve Naked Lunch: an iconic dish for viewers with strong stomachs. If you are looking for paranoid flavors and delirious spices — this video will satisfy your appetite. The brilliant adaptation of Burroughs' 1959 novel is a visionary journey through a world inhabited by giant insects, drink-sipping aliens, and creatures with legs rather than human fingers.
For many years, Burroughs' work was considered impossible to film. Cronenberg (Mucha, Videodrome, Crash) has combined the literary prototype with elements of the writer's biography and his own inimitable style to create one of the craziest and most influential films of the 90s. 35 years since the release of Naked Lunch, it never ceases to fascinate, hypnotize and entertain - like the best black science fiction comedy.
