Filmed in the region. From the archive TVP3 Szczecin | “Colors of the City”

“Filmed in the region” is a new way to spend your free time — going back in time. All this, thanks to a series of meetings with the history of our region recorded in the archival materials of TVP3 Szczecin.

We reach for frames from years ago — digitally renewed images of places, people, events and everyday life that chronicle the region. Each meeting will begin with a screening of selected archival material. Black and white and color recordings will allow us to rediscover the world of work, art, local holidays and everyday life in the 70s, 80s and 90s.

The materials will become the starting point for a conversation with invited guests and residents. Together we will look at the region from different perspectives — through the prism of industry, culture, important places and the history of the people who created them.

During each meeting, invitations to visit the headquarters of TVP3 Szczecin will be raffled among the participants. It is an opportunity to look behind the scenes of television, get to know the work of the editorial staff and visit the spaces where regional programs are created.

The film, made in cooperation with the Society of Friends of Szczecin, shows the sociological and industrial features of the city of the late seventies. The painting of Szczecin in two versions: historical and modern. The dynamism of the developing city was presented through the presentation of the largest workplaces, housing estates, universities. Demonstration of the pace of development of the city, youthful enthusiasm and plans for the expansion of road infrastructure, visit to the Szczecin Directorate of Route Construction.
