Nana Benz of Togo

This is where voodoo tradition meets soul. The band is named after the women who imported Mercedes-Benz cars to Togo. This year, the group has already performed at renowned festivals such as Roskilde, Down the Rabbit Hole and North Sea Jazz.

The five-piece formation combines driving grooves, deep basses and West African rhythms with soul, electronics and powerful singing voices. The focus is on three charismatic singers who immediately sweep the audience away with their presence and energy. With a minimal setup of vocals and a vintage Korg keyboard, the band develops a dense and lively sound.

There is something solemn, almost trance-like about their concerts: a thrilling mix of traditional traditions and modern energy that has already made thousands of people dance and dream across Europe.
