LOVE DRINK

Melodrama giocoso in two acts. A performance played in Italian with subtitles in Polish.

Gaetano Donizetti's love drink, is a work that brought fame to the composer throughout Europe. How much the opera was liked by the audience can be evidenced by the fact that in a few years from the premiere it was already staged in most opera houses of that time. The success of this Italian gem of comic opera was due to its moodiness, the subtlety of the libretto and the freshness of the music. Donizetti gives the artists the opportunity to shine with iconic parts, each of the characters is suggestive and legible, however, as befits a buff opera, there is no shortage of purely comic scenes that arouse bursts of laughter. The masterpiece created by Gaetan Donizetti was directed by Wojciech Adamczyk, and the musical direction of the premiere was carried out by Rafał Janiak, the costumes were designed by Maria Balcerek and the scenography by Marek Chowaniec. Such a set of directors guarantees a performance that is thought out and prepared with passion and humor.
