In Bethlehem, the son of Mary and Joseph, Jesus, is born. According to the prophecy, he is to become the new king of the Jews. Herod, the ruler of Judea, on the news of the birth of a boy, gives the order to kill all the recently welcomed male children. Mary and Joseph, along with the tiny Jesus, must flee from Herod's troops, which comb the neighborhood in search of the newborn Messiah.
