When Sinéad O'Connor sang Prince's cover of “Nothing Compares to You” in the early 1990s, the musical world announced a revelation. Strength, charisma, pain in the pensive eyes of a bald-shaven girl magnetize millions of viewers from screens around the world. Icon. Moments later in the light of the cameras, shouting: “Children! We will win! Let's fight the real enemy!” — the image of Pope John Paul II. A picture for her is extremely important, close and symbolic... As a victim of violence, she goes to war in defense of the weakest and becomes their voice, a cry that the world of that time is unable to understand. Doomed to curse and rejection. Lonely, lost, still singing and trying to love with all her might, she dies, leaving us in shame.
About the event
