NENE HEROINE in Hypnosis

It's time for the concert season to start! On Thursday, October 8, the stage of Hypnosis will be taken over by the Gdańsk band Nene Heroine. Their hypnotic sound delights the audience and critics. They received two nominations for the Fryderyk Award in the categories Jazz Album of the Year 2025 and Jazz Artist of the Year 2025, and their last album “4” was voted “Album of the Year 2025" according to “Gazeta Wyborcza”. Insane improvisations, stage ritual and powerful concert energy make every performance of Nene Heroine a unique experience.

Nene Heroine is a Polish band from Gdańsk, which stands out for its unique sound, combining jazz, psychedelic rock, dub and post-rock. Their music is a combination of analog sounds, improvisations and communicative, emotional melodies, creating a unique atmosphere. The band is known for their energetic live performances that attract a wide audience. Their attention is always focused on the “here and now”, which makes their music never ceases to surprise, and each concert is a unique experience. Nene Heroine is a band that is constantly looking for new inspiration and striving for musical excellence, gaining more and more recognition both in Poland and abroad.

Nene Heroine's fourth album “4” (2025) is a symbolic journey to the roots, to the original, Slavic energy, enchanted in sounds, rhythms and gestures. “4” is a manifesto, not just another record in their work. The spiritual and musical experience, which tells about the unity of the four elements: water, fire, air and earth, is captured in four simple geometric forms: circle, triangle, rhombus and square, which make up the unique visual concept of the album. The music was created collectively, in a cottage in the middle of the forest, away from the city, close to nature, in the rhythm of day and night. It was there that the musical material was born, which for the first time so faithfully captures the concert energy of the band. “4” is the first release of Nene Heroine to capture that wildness and spontaneity, known from their live performances.

During concerts, band members put on golden masks, becoming participants in the ritual. With this gesture, they gain anonymity and symbolically unite with the elements that they celebrate through music. The result of this ceremony is a vibrant, pulsating energy, transformed into sound. The style of Nene Heroine is constantly evolving, and “4” is a step in a new, conscious direction. It's an organic, powerful, mystical and band album like never before.
