What can an evening look like when at a family dinner the beloved only daughter wants to introduce her parents to a new fiance? The father of the family expects his daughter to find the perfect partner. Unfortunately, none of the boys she has brought so far is a suitable candidate in his eyes and that is why everyone, sooner or later, becomes the titular “next-ex”. However, the clever daughter comes up with a certain idea, which will turn out to be surprising not only for the family, but also for the viewers.
The play was commissioned by Teatr Powszechny in Łódź — Polish Comedy Centre as part of the author's project “Comediopisanie” by director Ewa Pilawska.
