NHEF: Decalogue I

Contemporary, although dating from the end of the last century, morality, confronting the attitude of extreme rationalism and scientism, with metaphysics and faith in God. The still topical problem of the unreliability of Science as Authority. The opening film of a well-known television series, referring to the content of the first commandment of the Bible, but focused on the “spirit” rather than the “letter” of the decalogue, open to different interpretations, inspiring discussions for believers and non-believers alike. Contemporary morality, set in the setting of a big city block, juxtaposing the attitudes and reasons of adults with children's search for a pattern of life, thinking and acting and answers to questions about the meaning of life and death.
