NHEF: Green Book

Black pianist Don Shirley is an intelligent man, and Tony is a petty prick from the Bronx. In the 1960s, they set off on a multi-week tour of the southern United States. Dr. Shirley plays for white, wealthy people, and Tony is his driver and bodyguard.

This is a film of the road, telling a universal story. We touch on the problem of racism, and the main characters differ a lot: from property and education, to the way of being, to their favorite food and entertainment. Over time, however, they will have the opportunity to see that there is actually more in common than it divides. Their joint adventurous journey will become the beginning of an unlikely friendship.
