“I Don't Sleep After Nights. Alice in Wonderland”

Performance of the Bolesław Barbacki Workers' Theatre in Nowy Sącz.

Text authored and directed by Marcin Piotrowiak.

Director collaboration: Michał Kościuk.

It's a story about nights when you can't fall asleep because your thoughts don't let you rest.

About a world that suddenly begins to split — into the real and the hidden deep inside.

In this space, characters appear strange, affectionate and disturbing, as if they know the protagonist better than he knows himself.

They lead him through places that recall dreams, memories and things that are difficult to talk about during the day.

It is a journey through a land where the boundaries between child and adult, fear and love, blur and blend.

Sometimes there is laughter, sometimes silence, and sometimes something that cannot be called.

It's a story about looking for a home — but not necessarily where you usually look for it.

And about a meeting that can happen only if you really stop for a moment.
