Not so scary? Horror Comic Making Workshop

Can a comic book scare as effectively as a horror movie on the big screen? With the help of drawings, frames and dialogues, how to build tension, cause anxiety and make the reader turn the pages with impatience, and perhaps even fear?

On October 31, we invite you to the Center for Comics and Interactive Narration for a Halloween workshop on creating horror comics, which will be led by comic writer Mateusz Wiśniewski.

During the meeting, participants will learn the basics of writing horror comics scripts and narrative means characteristic of this genre. Together we will analyze selected comic boards, look at ways to build an atmosphere of fear, and talk about how to transfer literary horror to the language of comics. There will also be a practical part, during which participants will use the knowledge gained to work on their own ideas for scary stories.

The workshop is intended for people over 16 years of age. The number of places is limited.
