Łukowski Cultural Centre invites the youngest spectators together with their families to a performance entitled “Thumbelina” performed by the Elven Scene Theatre.

A fairytale world full of extraordinary adventures, colorful characters and live music on Sunday, November 22, 2026 at 4:00pm in the ŁOK Entertainment Hall. This is another event in the series “Sunday with the theater”.

“Thumbelina” is a unique adaptation of one of Hans Christian Andersen's most famous fairy tales, which in a new, full of magical charm will unfold, transfer viewers to the world of imagination, emotions and unusual encounters. This is the story of a tiny girl who came into the world from a seed of a flower and embarked on an adventurous journey in search of her place on earth. In Thumbelina's path, both friends and heroes will appear, who will put her courage and kindness to the test. Fish, swallow, ladybug, butterfly, beetle, mouse, mole, toad or mysterious elf. Each meeting will bring new experiences and surprises. Will the heroine find happiness? Will she be able to find a place where she can truly be herself?

The performance of the Elf Scene Theater is not only a beautiful fairy tale, but also a story about kindness, sensitivity and the power that comes from helping others. It reminds us that true beauty lies not only in appearance, but above all in the heart. The creators invite the audience to look at the story of Andersen from two perspectives - a little girl and a mature woman. A special role is played by live piano music, which subtly connects both worlds and gives the story a unique, magical character. The puppet form of the performance, on the other hand, makes the fairytale story close and fascinating for the youngest viewers. The play “Thumbelina” is an excellent proposal for a family afternoon, which will allow children to immerse themselves in the world of theater, and adults to rediscover the timeless message of one of the most beautiful fairy tales of childhood. Duration: about 50 minutes.
