BURSTING THEATER 52
Antoni Chekhov
BEAR and PROCLAMATION
Stage Jokes
Brief description of the play - in the pen of its creators:
“The Bear” and “Propositions” by Antoni Chekhov are filled with humor, created from the concrete situation of the collision of human characters. The author himself described his one-liners as stage jokes. Both of these jokes combine unexpected twists, comedy and excellent dialogues. On the surface, two different stories have a common denominator — feelings and human everyday life. “The Bear” tells about hishusband, who comes to reproach himself for the due bill, and instead proposes. In “Proposed,” his character comes to propose, but before he sees himself, he gets into an argument.
