Rynek Główny 20, Kraków

Krakow is not necessarily associated with a city of rebellion and resistance at first glance. However, there were a lot of disobedient creators. During the walk we will cross the city along their trail. We will get to know places related to the avant-garde and futurists, we will look at locations that played an important role in the lives of writers who broke conventions, such as Anna Świrszczyńska, Halina Powiatowska or Magdalena Samozwaniec. We will talk about the life and work of the “stuntman of literature”, i.e. Andrzej Bursa, as well as about the second and third publishing circles during the PRL period. We will look into illegal printing houses and try to answer the question of what kind of rebel Joseph Conrad was.
