The Incredible Adventures of Ten Socks

Have you ever wondered what happens to your socks when you can't see them? When they're lying in a drawer... or in a basket of dirty laundry... or under a bed... or at the bottom of a closet? Aren't you surprised when someone is still missing?

Ten incredibly brave socks were tired of sitting in a basket of dirty underwear, listening to stupid T-shirt jokes, hugging sweaters, whining shirts, quarreling mom's panties and dad's underpants. Ten incredibly brave socks decided to give a leg up and go on ten incredible adventures. Completely different adventures.

The new production of Dorman Theatre in Bedzin is an adaptation of a well-known and popular children's book by Justyna Bednarek. The dramaturgy of the play is made up of improvised sock stories about the escape of ten socks, stitched together with songs that fall into the ear efficiently. Each of the ten stories is told in a different style. So there is a detective story, a romantic or a maritime story. The pace of the narrative is dizzying and crazy, just as socks are crazy. In the performance we play with the plastic, the ambiguity of forms and objects. The script, written “for five actors, ten arms, ten legs” is “a bit of a crime story, a fairy tale with a moral and with a happy ending.

Jumping into the hole under the washing machine, the viewer will embark on a mysterious and surprising journey, and along the way will discover the answer to the question that the whole world has been thinking about forever - where do our socks disappear?

Smoke and loud music are used in the performance.
