For her own mother, Nieve Ella has always been a star. That is another reason why she named her own hair salon after her daughter. Since 2022, however, the Englishwoman has also been stirring up the international music world with her music and has already drawn attention to her great talent with several EPs. Since then, Nieve Ella has also been accompanied by guitarist Finn Marlow, bassist Fran Larkin and drummer Matt Garnett. Together with the three musicians, the Englishwoman has already played in the opening act for Dylan, Inhaler and Girl in Red and recently at Lollapalooza Berlin. Now Nieve Ella is not just announcing her debut album “How Long Will It Take? “but also an accompanying tour that will take them to Cologne and Berlin in November.

Nieve Ella Pickering grew up in a town near Wolverhampton and became enthusiastic about music early on. After applying twice to Britain's Got Talent, she took charge of her career from 2020 when she discovered her deceased father's old guitar during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns and taught herself how to play. Within a week, she wrote her first song “Four Years Gone”, on which she dedicated herself for the first time to her own grief, which was to become a central element of her music. After success on TikTok, the singer signed a record deal with AWAL in 2022, where she made her debut with her song “Girlfriend” and followed by her debut EP “Young & Naive” in 2023. In the same year, she also released her second EP “Lifetime of Wanting”. After being on Dork's Hype List in 2023 and in the Ones To Watch listicles by See Tickets and When the Horn Blows, Nieve Ella followed up her EP “Watch It Ache and Bleed” in 2024 and was described by Rolling Stone as an “Indie Star” who has become a defining voice of Generation Z music. After a feature on Bradley Simpson's song “Favourite Band,” Nieve Ella followed up with singles from 2025. In 2026, she opened a new chapter with “Drive”, “Bite Back” and “Standing On A Pane Of Glass,” which will culminate in the release of her long-awaited debut album. “How Long Will It Take? “was created with producer Jamie Rendle and band member Finn Marlow and will be released on October 16 via Artist Theory. As Nieve Ella herself says about the album, it was created from the depths of her heart. “It's about coming to terms with the fact that growing up is not a singular process, but a lengthy journey. It's a rollercoaster of loops, false starts and sharp turns — just when you think you've figured it out, you realize that you're back at the beginning and waiting for it to start all over again. I'm so ready for it to be heard now because it's the last part of my healing process. ”
