Is it possible to see something that you cannot see every day? Electric charges can attract, repel, set objects in motion, and sometimes even jump in the form of a small spark. We will discover the world of electrostatics and see why sometimes a handle “kicks” us, the hair becomes oak, and a light piece of paper follows an electrified object.
In a shipyard, full of metal structures, equipment and installations, controlling electrical charges is also important for safety. During the meeting, participants will see impressive experiences with the electrostatic machine and the Van de Graaff generator and see how invisible electric charges behave.
All the work done during the workshop children can take home.
The electric shipyard is the watchword of the workshop cycle. Subsequent classes always on the second Saturday of the month. Classes are conducted by SmartLab.
