Nigerian musicologist, Dr Oladele Ayorinde brings together musicians Babatunde Sosan, Glen Inanga and Titus Underwood for a special panel exploring the history, legacy and future of Nigerian art music.
The discussion will consider musical identity, the relationship between Nigerian and Western classical traditions, and the ways this rich heritage continues to evolve. With Babatunde Sosan, grandson of pioneering Nigerian composer and organist Thomas Ekundayo Phillips, the panel also offers a unique connection to the early foundations of Nigerian art music.
