We invite you to two events as part of the nationwide campaign “Library Night”, which will take place on October 16 (Friday) at the Maria Paulina Orsetti Public Library of Chełm (40 Partyzanów Street).
At 1600, the vernissage of Adam Puławski's works “Tes, what jump and fly...” (hall of the 1st floor of the ChBP) was planned.
At the exhibition “Those who jump and fly...” Adam Puławski will present a new series of drawings depicting various animals, outlined with thin, black lines, characteristic of the author's style. The exhibition consists of a collection of more than twenty simplified drawings showing the diverse world of Polish fauna: farm animals, forest animals, birds and exotic species. The works are united by a sparing line, focused on a simplified image without unnecessary embellishments. The illustrations are a record of the author's observations, his interest in nature and his artistic fascination with animals. The exhibition encourages an attentive look at the world of nature from the perspective of the free, artistic imagination of the author.
Adam Puławski is a Chełmian, Ph.D. in Humanities, with a passion for creating artistic works. He is the author of a dozen artistic series, often referring to the history and traditions of the region (“Portraits of Chełm Jews”, “Chełm and Chełmians”, “Chełm 2.0”). He participated in several collective exhibitions (among others in Bytom, Kazimierz Dolny, Łęczna, Chełm and Parczew) and a dozen individual exhibitions (among others in Lublin, Warsaw, Krakow, Łęczna and Tel Aviv).
