Library Night and Charity

We invite residents to participate in the nationwide action Library Night, which will take place on October 16, 2026 at the Main Library. We start at 5pm and finish at 10pm.

This year's Library Night will be held under the motto “The Library (is) checking”. Our Night will be more than a meeting with a book because we are also organizing a charity event for our colleague Kasia Zielaskowska, who suffers from type 1 diabetes. We will raise money for the MiniMed™ 780G insulin pump as part of the public collection “Pompa dla Kasia” no. 2026/4001/KS.

As part of the charity campaign, we will organize:
— a cafe where you can buy delicious sweets, coffee and tea,
— sale of handicrafts of local creators, including our main character Kasia,
— second-hand book giveaway — the opportunity to purchase books will be from 9 October and will last until the Library Night itself,
— Face painting.

Let it be a “night of good hearts”, in which we prove ourselves as people — supportive, supportive and ready to help. Every gesture matters. Every dollar is a step closer to the goal.
Because the library is not only books, it is above all people who can be together.
Let's check it out. Together we can do more!
