Library Night in Drawsko Pomorski: Interactive performance “School of Mr. Kleks”

The Library in Drawsko Pomorski invites the youngest residents and their parents to an event as part of this year's Library Night. On Friday, October 16, in the performance hall of the institution at 12 Piłsudskiego Street, there will be a performance entitled “The School of Mr. Kleks” performed by the Blaszany Bębenek Theater. A story full of humor and fun awaits the audience, combining live acting with interactive elements.

The play tells the story of twelve-year-old, unruly Adasi Niezgódka, who, at the instigation of the starling Mateusz, goes to an unusual school run by Mr. Ambroż Kleks. Under the watchful eye of the teacher, the boy discovers the world of science, which becomes the beginning of a series of instructive adventures.

In the staging directed and performed by the actors of the Blaszany Bębenek Theater, two artists appear on the stage, playing diverse characters. The audience will see, among others, Adasia Niezgódka, Mr. Ambroże Kleks, Philip the shaver, Rex the dog, Adolf Doll and the author of the novel himself. The play also used animated characters — the starling Matthew and the dog Lord. The whole is complemented by a scenographic setting with three changing curtains.

The show is interactive and strongly engages the assembled audience. During the 40-minute performance, children will hear three songs sung live, as well as participate in joint activities. The program includes, among others, an imitation of cooking together with Mr. Kleks, dance games and the search for bones with Rex the dog.

The event will take place on 16 October 2026 at 17:00 in the Drawska Biblioteka auditorium at 12 Piłsudskiego Street.

Admission to the show is free, but the number of seats is limited. A prerequisite for participation is the receipt of free tickets, which are available at the library.
