Grandfather's Night, staged oratory

Mickiewicz in musical sound by Piotr Nazaruk and Krzysztof Herdzin to the libretto in the elaboration of Piotr Tomaszuk. A masterpiece of romanticism in a modern form. A moving work inspired by the second part of Adam Mickiewicz's Grandfathers, combining the power of oratory with the drama of theatre.

The performance was created in partnership with the Wierszalin Theater, which has extensive experience in interpreting the works of Adam Mickiewicz.

Grandfather's Night is a special song. Admittedly, referring to one of the most important positions in Polish literature was a great challenge for us (composers). The most important thing was to convey the anxiety and dark contexts full of suffering associated with the summoning of souls. After Mickiewicz, we tried to convey the tragical-romantic character of the whole.
