At Night in New York, directed by Christy Hall, USA, 2023
Fiction, Drama
New York. A young woman gets into a taxi and gets into a casual conversation with the driver. Gradually, from a banal exchange of opinions, they move on to a conversation about human relationships and what, in their opinion, is most important in life. Slowly, like scales, successive layers of protection fall from them — the place of communal and stereotypical issues is taken up by increasingly personal themes. This common journey through the streets of night New York will bring them important reflections and, perhaps, change their fortunes.
An intimate atmospheric drama with masterful creations by Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn.
