Come to a reading aloud for adults at dusk on the occasion of Nordic Literature Week when we light a candle and read aloud the Swedish novel They Will Drown in Their Mothers Tears, by Johannes Anyuru.
There will be coffee and fun when we mark the day with a number of other libraries and cultural sites in the Nordic countries.
About Nordic Literature Week:
A week in which libraries and cultural venues across the Nordic region come together to promote solidarity, reading and cooperation across the Nordic borders by celebrating the common Nordic narrative tradition and literature.
This year's theme is “democracy in the Nordic countries” and is marked by a joint reading of selected works at dawn and at dusk on 9 November.
