Who decides what is normal? And what happens when we measure people by norms that don't fit their way of thinking, feeling, or being in the world?

Anthropologist and author Christian Groes focuses on neurodivergence and the notions of normality that characterize our educational systems, workplaces, and social communities. Drawing on research and personal narratives, he explores how diagnoses such as ADHD and autism can both foster understanding and at the same time risk keeping people in certain categories. For what if the problem is not the individual, but the norms and structures we take for granted?
