LOUIS SARSKY ORCHESTRA
An artistic collective founded by two multi-instrumentalists — composers: Damian Szymczak and Piotr Tomala. Artists combine styles such as early jazz, ragtime, tango, swing, and klezmer. The band performs with great success in Poland and abroad. The activities of the Ludwik Sarski orchestra include chamber concerts and the performance of original live music for silent films by Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Roman Polanski and others.
On May 14, 2021, the premiere of the album “The Kid”, released by the prestigious label Dux Recording Producers, took place. The album was sponsored by Dwójka Polskie Radio and TVP Kultura. The album is a tribute to the work of Charlie Chaplin and is inspired by his film “Braking”, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021. In 2025 OLS received the award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage on the occasion of its five years of activity.
