NEW WAVE

Nouvelle vague, directed by Richard Linklater France, USA, 2025, 105 minutes

Featured in last year's Cannes competition, Richard Linklater's latest work is an energetic and brilliant journey into the birth of the French New Wave. The director, one of the most important creators of American independent cinema, pays tribute to Godard and an entire generation of artists who changed the face of world cinema. New Wave is a film about passion, creative freedom and the courage to dream differently. With extraordinary lightness and humor, it shows the artist at the moment when a work is born and cinema becomes a space of rebellion and youthful energy.
