What to do when a child reacts to challenges with withdrawal, anxiety limits his functioning, and worrying thoughts hang over his head (especially in the evening): “You will not cope”, “You will get lost”, “You better not try”? How do you recognize the fear behind anger, withdrawal, or “I don't want to”? And what to say instead of “there is nothing to be afraid of” and “but after all, nothing happens?”

Agnieszka Misiak, child psychologist and author of the books Kosma, Kopacz and the Forest School and Lucek and Dziki Nieszyki, together with illustrator Nika Jaworowska-Duchlińska invite children aged 6—9 and their parents to a meeting around the latest book Sandra and Kruki Zmartwiuki. The event will consist of two parts:

Sandra can't cope with a bunch of Crocoons: alert, talkative and very convincing birdies who sound the alarm and cause her fear for just about any reason. Fortunately, one day someone else comes out of the red bag. It's Pandolog, a big and fluffy alarm expert, who will teach Sandra how to deal with a swarming herd. The pandologist complains throughout the book that he has not enough space, so this time he will get it in abundance! Nika Jaworowska-Duchlińska will invite the children to build Pandolog together in XXL version, that is, a giant, black and white specialist in calming ravens. Children will blow, connect and stack huge soft blocks, and the panda will begin to grow in the eyes. Calm breathing is one of Pandologist's favorite ways to deal with Crows, which is why our giant will actually rise... out of thin air!

At the same time, Agnieszka Misiak will tell parents how to tame the Troubled Ravens, that is, how to recognize anxiety in a child and how to support him when his internal alarm system begins to howl for no reason. It will be about the masks that anxiety likes to hide behind, and why avoidance doesn't help. It will also be about the method of small steps, because it is not necessary to fight with fear: you can learn to work with it.
