We invite you to the collage workshop in Piaseczno “NEW SCALE OF IMAGINATION”

Analog collage is the art of creating images by manually cutting and combining fragments from newspapers, magazines, photographs, illustrations and papers. It is a relaxing, tactile form of creativity in which something completely new is created from seemingly random elements.

The workshop will be devoted to one of the most poetic and surprising collage techniques -scaling. It consists in consciously juxtaposing elements of very different sizes - huge details with tiny figures, microworlds with macroforms. Thanks to the play of scales, surreal, dreamlike compositions are created, in which reality loses its familiar proportions and begins to tell its own, non-obvious stories.

What's going to happen?

In the course of the workshop you will go through the entire creation process -from the first cut with scissors to the finished work. You will select, cut, stack and glue, experimenting with the proportions and relationships between the elements. Together we will look for surprising connections that open the imagination and allow us to create images full of tension, humor or poetic silence. You will come out with your own unique work and with a new tool that you can develop further in your collage practice.

The workshop is conducted in a relaxed atmosphere. No pressure, with room for experiment and personal expression.

All materials are included in the price of the workshop.

Moderator: Weronika Zaborowska - artist and cultural animator working at the intersection of art, education and social animation. She designs and leads initiatives in the fields of creativity and creative expression, personal development, mental health prevention and building social bonds.

She has been working with collage since 2021, creating both analog and digital. He uses this technique as a medium for reflection, transformation and initiating change — both in personal and collective contexts. In addition to her individual artistic practice, she runs collage workshops in cooperation with local cultural institutions and organizes informal creative meetings for friends and local communities.

In 2026, she received an annual Creative Scholarship from the Mayor of the City and Municipality of Piaseczno for the realization of a series of collages exploring the history and heritage of her hometown. Her work can be seen in three group exhibitions in 2026.
