How far are we able to bend the human body to fit the algorithm? The creators, using the world sketched by Aldous Huxley, present a parody of Silicon Valley. They situate the action at the center of laboratory space during an absurdly protracted experiment — one that has been going on since when, the end of which is unknown if it will come to an end. Actors take on the roles of engineers of their own bodies: they count steps, breaths and calories, update muscle software and pull patches on skin imperfections. They squeeze the last bytes of opportunity out of their organisms and charge alternately.
About the event
Huxley's London in this version resembles an expanded corporate horizon of open space. The transformed body, distorted by the commercial and marketing modes of eternal subscriptions, is doomed to the mercy of subsequent upgrades. In this absurdity, the key question arises: what next? In a few decades, will we just lease our own limbs from global brands and hand over life decisions to artificial intelligence in a pay-per-thought model? The choreographed performance suggests this disturbing vision through laughter, cynicism, and fear—to remind us painfully that imperfection can be the greatest heresy in a unified body culture.
The show features scenes using strobe light that may affect viewers with photogenic epilepsy or other light sensitivities; stage smoke is used.
