Nykolaes & Daniël Paul (BE)

Doors: 19:00

nykolaes & Daniël Paul are two neofolk artists based in Brussels, who work both separately and together on the music. In 2023, they released their debut album, which was met with acclaim in the underground. In 2026, they have returned with a new home recorded album: 'Jeudi Matin'.

nykolaes & Daniël Paul each contribute their own style to the project. nykolaes' 90s-inspired pro-post-anti-singer-songwriter modernism and Daniël Paul's intimate, lo-fi mumble-folk. Together, they create subdued songs that unite guitar, DIY instruments and simple electronic elements with vocal performances that move harmoniously in and out of the tonal genre in the most satisfying way.

They reimagine something authentic and raw into something that at times glimmers and screams down the pillow. Expect uplifting grunge, backwards folk, playful drones and disarming lyrics in Dutch, French and English.
