Introduction to symphony concerts on November 13 and 14, 2026.
Szymon Paczkowski - musicologist, professor at the University of Warsaw. His research interests focus on the history and aesthetics of Baroque music, in particular the work of Johann Sebastian Bach. Author of two books on music of the Baroque period: Nauka o afektach in musical thought in the first half of the 17th century (1998) and Polish style in the music of Johann Sebastian Bach (2011, English version 2017), editor of the volume of studies entitled Bach and Chopin. Baroque Traditions in the Music of the Romantics (2020) and numerous scientific works on the history of music from the 17th to the 19th centuries. Member of the American Bach Society and Neue Bach-Gesellschaft e.V. in Leipzig.

Entries are open to holders of tickets and subscriptions to a given concert (or its Saturday repetition) and to members of the Club of Friends of the Philharmonic.
